Vendor Spotlight On The Westchester Wedding Planner

November 7th, 2013

X-Quisite Flowers and Events, Inc. is thrilled to be featured on The Westchester Wedding Planner’s Vendor Spotlight this week. The Westchester Wedding Planner is an online vendor resource guide and wedding ideas resource that provides wedding-related information to brides in Westchester and Hudson Valley. The gorgeous ceremony and reception we designed at Red Maple Vineyard in upstate New York that was featured was simply picturesque. From the hand crafted chuppah covered in green sheet moss to the dark stained wooden farm tables adorned with organic flowers and foliage, the happy couple was thrilled. Read more about this perfect autumn day celebration below. A big thank you to The Westchester Wedding Planner for posting this wonderful blog:

The Ceremony:

The chuppah was hand crafted by the artists at X-Quisite Flowers & Events, Inc.  The frame was designed using 2 x 6 stained wood then covered with natural green sheet moss trimmed with a wrap of grapevine and secured with natural raffia. All of the materials were transported to the venue where the entire design was created. For the artists at X-Quisite, this is always the best way to create a client’s vision. It also guarantees the freshness of the flowers.

To decorate the chuppah the floral designers used fresh flowers including local hydrangea, garden roses, blush lisianthus and stock to trim the chuppah frame.  The finishing touch of lush green ivy and fragrant sweet honeysuckle vine completed this natural look.

The processional aisle was adorned with wildflower bouquets, including fresh lavender, olive leaf foliage, blush lisianthus, white dutch tulips, white astilbe, local pee gee hydrangea florets, pink wax flower and dusty miller foliage presented in vintage glass mason jars. Natural raffia secured the mason jar to the chair.

The Reception:

The dark stained wooden farm tables, built by X-Quisite Flowers & Events,  were the perfect complement to the overall outdoor/vineyard  setting.  The table-scapes had an organic feel created with hemstitch linen table runners and real aged grey driftwood adorned with wildflowers. The tables were anchored with bronze lanterns filled with ivory pillar candles which offered flickering romantic candle light throughout the night. Silver mercury votive candles were sprinkled into the design. Spanish moss delightfully spilled over the driftwood adding depth and interest to the design.

Organic flowers and foliage varieties including stock, hydrangea, variegated lisianthus, sedum, dutch tulips, garden roses, dusty miller, olive branches, seeded eucalyptus, roses, ranunculus and green ivy delicately adorned the driftwood pieces which added to the grace and flow of the table-scape design.  A sprig of fresh rosemary and a custom menu presented in the napkin provided a welcome place setting for the guests.
